Welcome

		Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 27 — Our troop welcomes all boys, ages 11-17, who want to follow the Eagle Trail.   Boys can join Scouting at any time, regardless of their background or experience. If you're interested in the Scouting program, please feel free to come to our meetings, contact one of our Adult Leaders.
		Sponsor Troop 27 is sponsored by Wireless of Orange.

Meetings
We meet 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., each Friday that school is in session, at the White Hills Rec. Center.

  Welcome to the new Scouting year! 

[ Sep. 1 2009 ]   Welcome to a brand new Troop 27 Scouting year! Our PLC was hard at work over the summer planning our events for the coming year. Please see our updated calendar page for details. The Troop Committee met on Wed. 9/16 to start working on all of the various Troop business and finance items.

  Court of Honor 

[ Mar. 27 2009 ]   Our latest Court of Honor was followed by a Lock-In. We had several Scouts reach the rank of First Class and one reach the Star rank. Also, many Scouts received Merit Badges. Check out our Photos section for some pictures.

  New Scouts   

[ Feb. 10 2009 ]   On Sunday, February 8th, Pack 27 held its Blue and Gold Dinner. Eight Webelos 2 crossed over into our troop. We would like to welcome them to our troop. They are:

* Zachary T.

In addition, Greg W. joined our troop as a new scout last week.
Jackson T. is transfering from another troop this week.
Chris L. will be crossing over from Pack 3 in March.

Thank you to all the Leaders, Committee members and Scout families that helped put this event together. Getting a physical? — Be sure to take a BSA Personal Health & Medical Record form !
The Boy Scout Personal Health & Medical Record forms can be found at the Housatonic Council website click here.   At every physical, have your healthcare provider fill out this form, and give a copy to Scoutmaster Bob.

Adult Leader News

• BSA Youth Protection Training Available Online
  The BSA National Council has made Youth Protection Training available online at the Online Learning Center. Completion of this training is essentially required for all adult leaders, since National and Local BSA tour (travel) permits will soon require that at least one adult leader on each trip have this training.   This is a comprehensive, high-quality training seminar, dealing with a difficult subject in a professional manner.   Any adult involved with the troop is encouraged to take this training as soon as possible.
